Our World in Data's CO₂ and greenhouse gas dataset: 79 indicators for 254 countries and regions from 1750 to 2024.

About

One row per country (or region) per year, with annual and cumulative CO₂ emissions by source (coal, oil, gas, cement, flaring, land use), per-capita and per-GDP figures, other greenhouse gases, and population and GDP for context.

When measured on 21 September 2026 the file had 50,411 rows and 79 columns, covering 254 countries and regions from 1750 to 2024. Our World in Data updates it regularly, so the link always gives the latest version and these figures will drift.

Aggregates such as World, Europe and income groups are rows alongside countries — filter on iso_code (blank for aggregates) if you only want countries.
